Amazing things are going to happen...

I'm going to start by apologising for my lack of posts, my lovely new laptop has broken (Josh accidentally stood on it) so the screen has smashed, I may of cried a little bit, lol and actually laid awake kicking myself for not putting it somewhere 'big foot' could tred on it! But it was an accident and we're always taught 'accidents happen' so I wasn't angry at him! I'm currently writing from my phone and realise I could have carried on blogging from my phone but I want my posts to be of quality ,I'm a true believer of 'quality not quantity' ,so thought I'd get my laptop fixed and start fresh in the new year... Ppprrrrommiseee!!

But, I wanted to update everyone and end 2015 with a personal post about my year, along with the ups and downs, so figured I would allow one post from my phone as it's more writing than pictures.

Well well well 2015, you were not what I expected... I've learnt an incredible lot in just a year and have realised just how quickly things can change, for good or for bad. I've also learnt a bloody lot about myself as well, which is surprising because I thought I had 'me' figured out already, but I'm 23 (which is actually still young despite me feeling that I'm old and missed all my chances to do things I Want to) and apparently 2015 still had a lot for me to learn, good and hmmm maybe not so good.

I started 2015...with... A boyfriend, if you'd have told me I'd be in a relationship with a 'smelly boy' 6 months before ,I would have laughed and been on my 2nd bottle of rosé dancing on my dining room chairs, music full blast with my housemates ready to go out, boys were not on my list of prioritys, but a year down the line and I am in a very happy relationship with 'bae' Josh, we've been through so much in our first year together...it's actually quite nuts but he really is my best friend and always encourages me in everything I do, which, I am very thankful for even though I may not show it all the time. *add to new year res list*

The biggest and hardest thing I learnt in 2015 (with the help of Josh) is that I don't have to be strong all the time, or put on a brave face when in reality I'm really struggling inside, I realised I had been struggling with anxiety for a lot longer than I had thought and never knew I actually had a problem that really did need addressing (very in-denial) I didn't properly understand mental health and that there is a lot of help out there if I was willing to go after it and accept I needed a little bit of help, I'd battled on my own for so long that eventually I had to give in and do the right thing for myself and for others around me. I really lost sight of 'Louisa' and turned into someone I didn't even know myself, which was very scary, all of a sudden I had new fears I never knew existed before, and I became very unconfident and no longer in touch with myself. It was a long hard few months but with so much support, some medication and some counselling session I can finally say I'm out the other side and in such a good place!!! And I've also realised just how bad I really was. It's taught me that opening up about my feelings and struggles really does help and also helps close ones to understand what's going on, it's also ok to have 'bad days' and it's not a sign of weakness that I would of felt before. I learnt a lot.

I've also had a lot of ups like my amazing birthday trip to Paris, which was just fabulous and would deffos recommend.

I moved back to my Dad's and am so glad because I really am a family girl at heart and I always will be, so seeing more of my Dad and sister is such a good feeling.

I entered the world of blogging!!! And I love it! I realised that I actually really enjoy the writing side of the blog as well as posing for the camera (but I already knew that haha) I also love making my Instagram look really pretty and am constantly taking pictures to upload!!!

I feel like so much has gone on in 2015 that I'd be far too long going on about it so I'm going to bring this post to an end, i'm already very excited for the year ahead and know 'amazing things are going to happen' I just feel that positive 'things' (in all sorts of ways) are seriously due and I'm going to make sure of that!!!

I hope everyone has a brilliant end to the year and 2016 is a brilliant year all round!!!

Lots of love Louisa xxx

Boohoo beauty

Boohoo, you never cease to amaze me. There has not been one thing I've ordered and not been happy with, this Gail grid check bandeau jumpsuit is such a statement piece, the strapless sweetheart neck line takes it right out of the 'plain Jane' category and straight into glam, it's so much more than just a ' grid check jumpsuit' it pulls in at all the right places that gives a real feel of sexiness and looks so flattering on.

Although I don't really think this jumpsuit needs any added 'glam' it was a special occasion so I decided to go all out...get me aye, I very rarely wear earrings and a necklace together because I feel it can all look a bit much, but I broke my own rules this time as I just loved how well these worked together. My necklace is New look, It's a shame the picture doesn't do it justice as you can't see the slight green tinge it has in person, my earrings are Primark and I do wear them quite a bit, especially when I put my hair back so I can show them off.

I teamed with my Fave Zara heels, slicked my hair back, which deffos used up 3/4 of a can of hairspray that I could taste for hours after, and added some red lipstick as I already had red nail varnish on and Vwa la, off I went for a wine filled evening and a bit of a dance floor boogie.

VERNEZ

Being that I am a newbie to this whole blogging biz I'm constantly on the look out for anything 'fashion' whether that's new websites, blogs or apps to follow/download my eyes are constantly peeled. So when I came across this brand new fashion app Vernez  described as 'twitter for blogging' I couldn't wait to see what it was all about and I'm even more excited to be able to share it with you all.

The genius new fashion app Vernez allows all users to create their very own fashion magazine from the comfort of your own personal devices (I use my IPhone 6) and what's even better is there's no need to be a pro in this field or have loads of previous experience, because Vernez will guide you through how to use the app when you first join, I had the hang of it very quickly after a little play around and following the instructions provided.

So if you have a passion for fashion, love shopping and getting creative but also discovering other fashion fanatics out there, Vernez is the perfect app for you and can really help show off your personal take on fashion and how you like to style outfits and accessories. There is a whole built in shop (kind of like a little department store at your fingertips) with all the latest trends and fashion labels to use to add to your own in app 'wardrobe' as well as having the option to upload your own images.... and just when you think it couldn't get any better you can even do a spot of shopping whilst creating your 'boards', with the option to buy everything you see in the 'shop' it also allows you to see how other users have styled a certain item, so if you've just brought a new top and not sure how to style it you can get inspo right there and then, too cool. I am officially addicted and wish I had discovered this app sooner.

Vernez is invitation only, so you can download the app from this link http://apple.co/1Gi2kuS and use my exclusive invite code louellen to get creating and shopping. I am also excited to let you guys know I am a 'recommended user' so you can follow me as soon as you have your account up and running or click the little star on the top right of the home page and you'll be able to follow me. My code is only valid until the 18th of December.... so what are you waiting for get downloading.

Below are a few of my fave boards I have made, download and follow to see more of my edits and my upcoming posts.

lots of love

Beanie and bands

I am so so in love with Josh's new bedroom.. boys got style I'll give him that, all white everything, although I'm not so sure he was too happy with me making a mess for him to take pics for the blog haha (clearing everything from this wall including his bedside table and other bits ) then again he loves me so he's just going to have to get used to it. "Like it or lump it my love" - said with love too obvs. Lol. Josh is very into his music so he had pictures of some of his favourite bands printed and then put them into these frames. Oasis, Beatles, Verve, good taste in music too.

Finally it's getting chilly, is it weird that I've been excited for it to get really cold?! I think its the whole Christmassy feeling that comes with the cold weather and being able to get all snug in the evenings with a hot drink and some stew... heaven! I become a bit of a hermit in the winter and put my party pants away, unless a special occasion of course and opt for cosy pyjamas and DVD's for my weekend excitement.

Love love love layering, so naturally the chilly weather is perfect for layering up, another reason to be excited for jack frost to work his magic, brrrrrrrr. I'm sorry for the constant appearance of my Khaki jacket but it just completes any outfit so well! talk about getting my moneys worth. I wear a lot of pencil skirts to work but I also like to wear them out of work with a bit more of a dressed down feel, I've teamed with my Topshop Led Zeppelin casual tee and layered my black sleeveless jacket over my go to khaki jacket.

I've never really thought beanie hats have suited me, but the on trend pompom ones around at the moment are just so dreamy that I was determined to make it suit me this winter! absolute Primark bargain this is at only £3. I'm so going to get a few more colours.

I'd love to sit and write all day but I'm really not going to go on anymore lol!

Hope everyone's had a lovely weekend!

lots of love

Football Fashion

Ok, it's true... I am a secret football fan. I can't say I actually properly understand football, obviously I know there's two goals and the aim is to score! but like I don't get the whole offside rule rubbish and I'm not up together with players names or understand any of that bloke football talk gibberish, however I do enjoy going to the grounds and watching a match. I love it when the crowd chants and gets the atmosphere going, I really can't help but join in with the chanting, even though I don't know half the words, giving myself 10 points for trying though.

I definitely made a typical 'girly' error with the chanting, I could hear all the blokes chanting something quite angry sounding and the name 'Milo' so being confused, I asked Josh why they were all angry at 'Milo' his reply being "Lino Louisa, they're angry at the linesman." (insert crying laughing face here) opppps.

Right, let's get down to the fashion business. Ok, I am so into flares right now, being 'Mr long legs' (Josh's little boy 's nick name for me) flares actually fit me in the leg, such a good feeling. These patterned flares from H&M really are so flattering on and I love that they are high wasted. I have teamed with a burgundy jumper that you can't really see & of course my fave jacket at the mo. I'd like to apologise for my constant hat wearing at the moment, but this weather really doesn't do my hair any favours and with my track record of losing umbrella's well it's all round easier to just plonk on a hat.

Top marks to Josh for the pictures, I thought I was more into quite plain light backgrounds but I'm actually loving the busy/ scenic backgrounds lately and he really seems to have an eye for this photography stuff.

I really had to share this one with you, I was posing and my hat flew off my head!

What I've been up to...

Woohoo it's the weekend...boohoo to the weather though, See I don't mind the cold it's just the hair ruining rain, seriously how is my hair meant to look even half acceptable in this?! I am currently writing this post from the comfort of Josh's bed whilst he has gone to the gym, leaving me all snug, a cup of tea on the bedside cabinet and a 'Dairy box' next to me, now that is what I call breakfast in bed.

So here's a bit of what I've been up to over on Instagram, which I'm becoming obsessed with, I could literally spend hours getting lost on Instagram, lusting over outfit posts, new in trends, décor inspo...all sorts really.

I really do try not to use filters on my photos, I much prefer to just take pics in good lighting, I'll only brighten the picture up if you can't see detailing or the lighting hasn't caught what I'm trying to take a picture of properly.

So in the top left hand corner is my new hair do, the extensions are out and I'm going cold turkey... for as long as poss, it's hard and I have to keep telling myself 'natural is better natural is better' and I really want to take good care of my own hair.

I am so in love with this unicorn money box from New Look, not that I'd use it as a money box (I'm awful at saving) I'm so gutted I didn't buy it, but I seriously don't have anywhere to put it, I've got so many candles and pretty things, I'm trying to work out where I could put more shelves and as soon as they are up this unicorn will have a saved space for sure.

Anyways, I'm off to Fratton park, to 'have a beer and do some crowd chanting' haha and then for a TGI's catch up with the girly's tonight...yumyum.

Have a lovely weekend...

Latino Lunching

Before I go any further with this post I thought it was only fair I gave my lovely boyf Josh the credit for the title of this post 'Latino Lunching' as it was his bright idea 'Lou you should call your post Latino Lunching, I'm good aren't I." He was also my photographer for the day... giving me tips on how to pose, even told me to 'poke your bum out' at one point the cheeky monkey haha!

I'm not sure about you guys but I always feel like I deserve to have a lay in on the weekend, Unfortunately my Josh is the opposite and is wide awake around 7am...this is probably the only time I am thankful for FIFA, so I can squeeze in a bit more beauty sleep whilst he obsesses over the game, I'm pretty sure he love's his PS4 more than me yano..booooo.

Anyway I was treated to lunch at this amazing new restaurant 'Casa Brasil' with their moto being...'Come hungry leave happy' I left feeling rather heavy and with a bit of an I've eaten too much waddle but very very happy indeed.

The weather definitely seems to be getting a bit more chilly so I decided to wrap up a bit more than I have been, with a simple black polo neck and my go to leather ripped trousers. You'll notice I am wearing the jacket from my lovely new Dorothy Perkins co ord (previous post Khaki co ord), I can't get enough of it. I have a bit more of a shoe obsession than usual at the mo and there was no way I could of left these pompom points on the shelf in New Look, I literally would of been thinking about them constantly if I didn't get them... and what a steal at £18, they've barely left my feet for the past few days they're probs super sick of me already.

Pink to make the boys wink...

Asos, take a bow, give yourselves a huge pat on the back and crack open the champers! ... I never believed in love at first sight until I saw these worldies! (If you're reading this Josh I love you second ok, and it's your fault for buying me them.) Pink velvet heeled ankle boots... they are just sooooo bloody dreamy, I literally love them so much that I have made a space for them on my shelf in my bedroom with all my decorative and pretty bits, geeeek. My Dad actually poked his head in my room and laughed at me for having them on my shelf, I recon he's just jel that his feet are too big to fit in them.

There's no doubt about it that these boots stand out for themselves, I love the way they shine in the light too. I decided to keep the rest of the outfit pretty simple but with a tiny bit of added pink on the top half. I actually have a playsuit on here from H&M which I have tucked into these bargain £7 trousers from F&F, let's all go to Tesco la la la la ooooo.

As it's not cold enough yet to wear a big jacket I teamed with my plain black sleeveless jacket from New Look and decided with throw in the floppy hat, mainly just to cover up my bad hair day though, thank god for hats.

Fishnet Fridayzzzz

Here she is...3 cheers for Friday...rey hey hey! It's the weekend and for all you Monday to Friday office babes like myself there's only a few hours to go until (I finish early today YAY) 2 whole (not enough really) days of freedom. I swear my brain just lets off a load of party poppers inside my head 'cause I get all excited as soon as my alarm goes off. I'm completely aware I sound like a right sad act getting excited over the weekend, but for me the weekends can't come quick enough, usually just so I can drink wine to be honest, as alcohol on a 'school night' will get me a spot in my own bad book, I like to be fresh for work.

Tonight I am behaving and not raving with the girls as I really need to take it easy after being so poorly recently, so bae is cooking me a steak dinner and I'm putting on my most comfy PJ's and having an early night...heaven.

Although I love to clash patterns, prints and bright colours I do also love the plain and simple all black 'errrrything' look, plus the fact I felt my new red bag really should be star of the show. The fishnet crop I have on under my playsuit is often pushed to the back of my wardrobe with the last time I wore it being on a girls holiday to Magaluf in 2014, but I think it works so well with this outfit combo as it's not warm enough to go bare with the playsuit but not cold enough for a chunky jumper.

Amen to these River island knee highs they are just an absolute god send. They work so well with everything, day or night, dress down or glam up, £75 very well spent.

Hope you enjoyed today's post and have a lovely weekend!

Khaki Co-ord

Sorry sorry sorry, I have been rubbish with posts this past week. Been ever so busy and very over tired. I'm trying to get my body clock back to normal after quite a bit of time off work ill. So yes.. apologies for the slacking, I've given myself a slapped wrist.

Anyway.. enough of that babble...what a bloody wonderful Co-ord I have found in Dorothy Perkins. I don't usually visit DP's as it's right at the back of the shopping centre and tucked away, but I passed it and popped in. I'm absolutely loving that it's a jacket and skirt Co-ord as it's getting a bit nippy outside so can't really go wearing the usual crop and skirt sets...and the colour... well it's bang on trend this season(and one of my fave colours), absolute winnneeerrrrr, I am very pleased.

I have teamed with a plain black New Look polo neck, black tights (brrrrr) and my wonderful Zara lacey heels. I thought the red lippy was needed to glam things up as My Dad and Sister both told me I look like I'm in the military.. to be honest I'd probably wear red lippy with my uniform if I was in the military anyway.
