What A place! Like seriously. I have been lucky enough to travel to many different places/country's and stay in all sorts of different hotels and apartments, but 'The Fleet Street Hotel' in Dublin, just an hours plane journey away is definitely one of my favourites for sure. Being a lover of all things Fashion, Stylish and Glam as soon as I saw the picture of the bathroom with dressing table and free standing tub I was sold... doesn't take much aye! THEN, I saw the luxurious bedroom with crushed velvet and the most glam headboard you've seen and I had already unpacked my suitcase and placed my bits round the room (In my head of course) before booking.
I definitely recommend paying a bit extra to upgrade to an 'Elegance room' The only thing you will be disappointed with is having to leave this chic hotel when it comes to home time, We even tried to stay another night but unfortunately we could not change our flights, serious boooooooooo, so the closest to an extra night we could get was late check out at 2pm for just 20 Euros, BARGAIN.
Being the perfectionist that I am, I emailed ahead to make sure we could try and secure a room with a free standing tub as It does state not all bathrooms have one, with a very fast response I was advised they would pop it on my reservation notes and try their hardest to secure me one... and boy did they deliver! We even arrived to a bottle of champagne on ice and a personal letter, now that's service right there and made our stay even more special with such personal touches.
The hotel staff can not do enough to help, each and every member of staff we came across were so welcoming and VERY helpful, there is a mini bar in reception which may I add is a very nice touch. After a long day of travelling it was nice to sit and relax with a Baileys on ice in the ever so stylish and colour co-ordinated reception, whilst waiting for our coach to the Punches town Races. There is also FREE WiFi
Location location location, You can not get a better location than this hotel, located in he heart of Dublin city and temple bar, 2 minute walk from The famous Grafton street where you will find shops, bars and restaurants, there is also an airport coach that stops right outside the hotel and Trinity college and the wax work museum are a 30 second walk. Now if your a foodie like Josh and I you'll be even more thrilled that The Fleet Street Hotel is actually partnered with TGI Fridays, At the press of a button you'll be out of the lift and at the entrance ready to be seated and get start the cocktails flowing. Now I know you should really try places you don't have back home, but who can resists their blackened Fajitas and Bubble Gum Daiquiri's?! not us!
I honestly could talk about how amazing this Hotel is all day long, I can not fault it AT ALL, and these days that is a rarity. I defiantly would recommend this hotel 200% to anyone looking at staying in Dublin.

Here, there and babbling everywhere...
OMG...Please note I am completely aware of what a full on slacker I have been with blogging/lack of so far this year, and I certainly won't be ticking 'Blog more' off my 2016 goals just yet... opps, although I've got to give it to myself I have managed to tick quite a few of my goals off for this year already, don't wanna brag or anything (Yes I do) which has got me feeling all very motivated and good about things and it only APRIL, well, I say 'Only', I actually can't believe it's already April, it literally feels like I was opening presents on Christmas morning with a glass of 'Advocat' and mince pies 2 seconds ago, ok maybe not the mince pies because I HATE them, but just trying to set the Christmassy scene and all that.
Before I go any further with my babbling, I really would like to apologise for my lack of blogging, it's not that I haven't wanted to but my laptop has broken and I really haven't had 5 minutes to get it fixed, but I pinky promise it will be fixed very soon!!
So below I've put together a little collage of a few pics that I think really show the sort of things I've been getting up to recently. Last year wasn't a great one for me after my struggles with anxiety, but this year I have been so determined to get life back to how it used to be full of....laughter , happiness and enjoyment and so far VERY good. One thing that hasn't changed is my serious addiction to clothes shopping ,if anything... it continues to get worse, Lord help Josh when we move in together, I'll probably loose him for days under my mountains of clothes! So besides the continuous shopping trips, I have been to Cheltenham gold cup races, spent the weekend sipping champagne and relaxing with amazing food at old thorns manor in one of their amazing cosy eco pods, eating out far too much, having the most amazing make over at MAC John Lewis and numerous nights out with our nearest and dearest...and of course the hangovers that come with a night on the Pinot. I still have so much more planned for this year and if it's anything like how 2016 has gone already I am in for an amazing one.
I'm off to London tomorrow for the weekend staying in a lovely apartment on the Thames and I am just so excited for everything that is in store whilst there, and of course to get camera happy for a blog post or two.
I hope you are all well and apologies for my rambling but I'm so happy to be back!
Lots of love
Louisa
